In their weekly auctions, Heritage is offering Sam Wilson’s debut, a Dan Jurgens and Bob McLeod Action Comics page, and an unopened copy of Cross Force. The Comic Books Select Auction closes on Sunday, September 29 through Tuesday, October 1, 2024, the Video Games Mini-Boss Auction wraps up on Tuesday, October 1, and the Comic Art & Animation Auction ends on Wednesday, October 2.
Highlights in the comic auction are led by Crime SuspenStories #20 CGC 7.0 with Johnny Craig’s gruesome hanging man cover, which was cited in Seduction of the Innocent. Captain America #117 CGC 8.0 features the origin and first appearance of Sam Wilson, aka the Falcon, who would later become Captain America.
The original art auction offers Dan Jurgens and Bob McLeod’s Action Comics #671 unpublished cover of a shirtless Superman picking coconuts for Mister Z where they are stranded on a mysterious island. Kyle Baker’s Black Panther vs. Deadpool #5 variant cover is a dramatic page of Black Panther landing a big punch on Deadpool.
In the video game auction, Heritage has an unopened copy of Cross Force CGC 9.2 for Atari 2600 that is offered directly from a case pack. They are also selling Steel Battalion: Line of Contact WATA 9.8 A+ sealed for Xbox, which required a complex controller featuring 44 input points, dual joysticks, and three foot pedals.
