Transformers 1984 Cartoon Trading Cards on Kickstarter

The original Transformers cartoon series is reaching its 40th anniversary in 2024. To celebrate the milestone, Dynamite Entertainment and Hasbro have created new Transformers trading card sets.

The card sets will be offered on Kickstarter, and backers who sign up in advance of the Kickstarter launch will receive a free, exclusive digital trading card.

It will contain two trading cards series featuring Transformers Generation 1 characters from the 1984 cartoon. Popular Transformers like Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream, Ironhide, and Soundwave will appear on the cards, as well as other teammates from the Autobots and Decepticons.

In total, the sets include 110 base cards, 110 rainbow holofoil parallel cards, 6 Bob Budiansky creator art cards, 6 Simon Furman creator art cards, 40 one of one single print cards randomly inserted in select packs, and signed and sketch art cards randomly inserted in select packs. Rare extras will also be offered.
