Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride), two of the most popular characters on The Walking Dead will soon reunite in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol. The second season of the Daryl Dixon-led Walking Dead spinoff premieres soon on September 29, 2024.

With only a few weeks until the show returns, AMC has released a pair of character posters and a new teaser trailer.

The posters aptly put the focus on the two lead characters. One poster features a large three-quarter profile image of Daryl with a smaller image of Carol looking forward as she walks the countryside, holding Daryl’s crossbow. The other is a mirror image with a three-quarter profile of Carol and a smaller image of Daryl in the same walker filled area with a gun slung over his shoulder.

The teaser trailer continues to show the characters separated, with Carol searching for her friend while Daryl wrestles with his decision to stay in France. Carol appears trapped inside of a vehicle surrounded by walkers, Isabelle (Clémence Poésy) tells Daryl to “bet on hope,” plus there are horses, martial arts training, torture, and more packed into the 30-second teaser.

Season two will star Laika Blanc Francard, Anne Charrier, Romain Levi, and Eriq Ebouaney.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol will begin with a two-hour premiere on AMC and AMC+. The first hour will be a special that looks ahead at the new season, followed by the hour long first episode.

AMC+ subscribers will get even more content, including the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel and two custom collections of episodes featuring the best of each character.
