The Baltimore Comic-Con will return on September 8-10, 2023, with an impressive guest list of comic creators. The latest additions to the ever-growing guest list are Mirka Andolfo, Scott Hanna, Tom King, Mike McKone, Andrew Pepoy, and Brian Stelfreeze.

Andolfo is the artist and writer behind the creator-owned books Sweet Paprika, Unnatural, Mercy, and Un/Sacred. She has worked on DC titles like Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, and Catwoman, BOOM!’s The Amazing World of Gumball, and a few issues of Marvel’s Ms. Marvel.

Hanna has been drawing and inking comics for over 30 years and has been published in over 1,000 comics and graphic novels. At Marvel, he has worked on Avengers, Iron Man, The X-Men, and is well known for his 15-year run on Spider-Man titles. He has worked on DC books like Detective Comics, Green Lantern Corps, Wonder Woman, Justice League, and Superman. His most recent work has been in Venom, Heroes Reborn, DC Generations, and Icon and Rocket

King was the long-term writer of Batman at DC Comics, where he has also written Mister Miracle, Grayson, The Omega Men, DC Nation, Swamp Thing Winter Special, and had stories in Action Comics #1000. He did award-winning work at Marvel on The Vision. King’s first book, A Once Crowded Sky, a postmodern superhero novel, was recognized by USA Today as one of the best Graphic Novels of the year.

McKone’s earliest published work was in Justice League of America and Punisher. Since then, his art has appeared in long runs of Teen Titans, Amazing Spider-Man, and Fantastic Four. More recently, he has worked on an Avengers graphic novel, Endless Wartime, and Justice League United.

Pepoy has worked on hundreds of comics, such as The Simpsons, Fables, Batman, The X-Men, Iron Man, Star Wars, Scooby Doo, Betty & Veronica, and Uncle Scrooge. He redesigned Little Orphan Annie and drew the newspaper strip, and wrote and drew Archie’s Katy Keene. His recent work includes inking Simpsons comics, providing art for MAD Magazine, and doing covers for Doctor Who, Archie vs. Predator II, and Red Sonja.

Stelfreeze, one of the original Gaijin Studios members, is a multi-talented artist, with experience and credits penciling, inking, coloring, painting, and even writing. His comic book covers have gained him much attention, and his run painting covers on DC’s Shadow of the Bat for over 50 issues is noteworthy by itself. Stelfreeze’s creative output can be found on BOOM! Studios’ Day Men and The Signature Art of Brian Stelfreeze, and Marvel Comics’ Black Panther.

“Amazing talent,” Baltimore Comic-Con show promoter Marc Nathan said. “Each of these guests brings a high caliber of skill to their respective disciplines, and their bodies of work reflect that. Fans won’t want to miss the chance to meet these amazing creators!”
