We’ve been familiar with the color work of Wes Hartman for several years now – he’s colored several Free Comic Book Day for us, as well as Billy Tucci’s cover for The Overstreet Guide To Grading Comics – Sixth Edition – but nothing prepared us for his work as a writer.

Hartman’s self-published, crowd-funded Savage Sasquanaut is (thus far) four solid issues of over-the-top action with an absurd sense of humor. As premises go, it’s a whopper: “Bigfoot is lost in space carjacking star ships, arm wrestling aliens, and bending the cosmos to his will, searching for his way home!”

This science fiction adventure, which features art by Gab Santos, delivers strong visuals and maintains its sense of humor throughout.
