Blake’s summer vacation at Fever Swamp is certainly exciting! In the last issue, she discovered a cozy house deep in the woods where the werewolves live. She learns that Lily’s friend Cara is one of the wolves and that they aren’t the human-killing beasts that people think. But, that opinion isn’t shared by a group of hunters who happen to be Cara’s family!

This issue by Marieke Nijkamp flips the monster script making the werewolves the protagonists and the humans the villains. It’s an interesting change of pace from the first two issues, while also maintaining the scary aspects of being hunted. On the art side, Yasmin Florez Montanez and colorist Rebecca Nalty have created a beautiful spooky environment with enough tension to entertain and scare their young audiences without pushing it too far.
