The critically acclaimed manga adaptation of BBC’s Sherlock hits season two with the intrepid detective finally coming face to face with the mysterious and beautiful Irene Adler. Continuing the adaptation of “A Scandal in Bolivia,” the comic picks up with Sherlock and Irene in a heated exchange over her phone. Adler reveals her phone is her life insurance against powerful people and will do whatever it takes to get it back, including drugging Sherlock.

After escaping with her phone, John Watson arrives to bring a comatose Sherlock home. In between dreams of Adler, Sherlock ponders over the mysterious death of the hiker he is investigating. Sherlock soon regains his consciousness and begins receiving cryptic text messages from Adler. While he manages to unravel the mystery of the hiker’s death, the questions surrounding Adler are beginning to pile up. In the end, will Adler help or create more danger for Sherlock?

The recreation of the Sherlock episode follows a one to one transcript of the original episode by Steven Moffat leaving all the sass and drama intact. While the art follows the traditional monochrome of manga, Jay’s clean lines perfectly capture the likeness of the series stars.
