Ms. Marvel #33

Marvel; $3.99
Kamala’s powers are completely out of control – kind of how they were when she first discovered she had them – and despite all common sense telling her to maybe not go after the super-villain until she gets a hold of herself, she can’t help but to give chase. And while she’s forced to confront a whole lot of different elements about herself, her buddy Bruno attempts to figure out how he can help, if at all.
Ms. Marvel continues to be a wildly entertaining yet remarkably topical coming-of-age story, and as Kamala is clearly on the verge of entering the next phase of her superhero career, it seems appropriate that she’d be experience some – ahem – growing pains… so to speak. With her friendship with Bruno growing stronger again, now that he’s back from Wakanda, and a burgeoning rivalry with the Shocker (of all people), it should be fairly interesting to see what happens next.
