No doubt we’re all familiar with the expression “people plan, God laughs.” Perhaps “time lord plans, universe laughs” would be more apropos for this review. Initially, the Twelfth Doctor planned a relaxing seaside trip for himself and current companion, Hattie – a punk rock bassist looking for some excitement. Naturally, the trip turned deadly almost as soon as the TARDIS touched down. As enormous seaweed husk creatures terrorize the town, it’s up to Hattie and the Doctor to save the day.

After teaming up with some angry pensioners, the heroes managed to temporarily hold off the monsters. Unfortunately, this brief victory wasn’t enough to slow down these fiendish foes. Using their psychic abilities, these creatures are attacking and paralyzing the citizens of this quiet town. While the Doctor is dragged away in their sea-mottled grasp, Hattie is overwhelmed by precognitive visions. As if that wasn’t enough, what they find lurking beneath the waves will leave you shocked! What are you waiting for, grab your copy today!

George Mann has penned a truly remarkable conclusion to this exciting new arc. While the detailed art by Mariano Laclaustra will leave you completely immersed in the story. And did I mention the incredible cover art by Simon Myers? I need a copy of that on my art wall immediately!
