Batman #8, Frenz Star Wars Art in Heritage Auctions

Highlights in Heritage’s weekly auctions include an early issue of Batman, Luke Skywalker splash page from the original Marvel run, and a high grade copy of Fantasy Zone for Sega Master System. The Comic Books Select Auction closes on Sunday through Tuesday, November 3-5, 2024, the Video Games Mini-Boss Auction concludes on Tuesday, November 5, and the Comic Art & Animation Auction ended on Wednesday, November 6.
The comic auction kicks things off with Batman #8 CGC 3.0 with Jerry Robinson’s popular cover of the Dynamic Duo reading their own comic. The Fantastic Four #1 Golden Record reprint CGC 9.2 was released five years after the team originally debuted.
In the original art auction, Heritage is offering a Neal Adams Batman and Deadman specialty sketch featuring two characters most closely associated with Adams. Ron Frenz’s Star Wars #82 page 1 splash shows Luke Skywalker in his Return of the Jedi all-black costume holding a lightsaber.
For just the third time in a video game auction, Heritage is selling the Fantasy Zone WATA 9.8 A+ sealed for Sega Master System, a pioneer of the cute ‘em up games. Godzilla: Unleashed WATA 9.8 A+ sealed for PlayStation 2 is the higher grade of just two copies on Wata’s August 2024 population report.
