Highlights in Heritage’s weekly auctions include the Living Pharoah’s first appearance, Charlie Adlard Harley Quinn art, and a high grade copy of Donkey Kong for Game Boy. The Comic Books Auction closes on Sunday through Tuesday, August 25-27, 2024, the Video Games Mini-Boss Auction ends on Tuesday, August 27, and the Comic Art & Animation Auction concludes on Wednesday, August 28.
In the comic auction, Heritage is selling X-Men #56 CGC 8.0 featuring a cover and art by Neal Adams and the first appearance of the Living Pharoah. Batman #423 CGC 9.6 also offers a striking cover with Todd McFarlane creating an image of Batman wrapping his cape around someone.
The original art auction is led by The Walking Dead artist Charlie Adlard’s work on Harley Quinn #38 story page 22 showing Harley being committed to Arkham Asylum. Graham Nolan and Scott Hanna’s Detective Comics #700 story page 6 depicts Batman with original Robin, Dick Grayson, and new Robin, Tim Drake, plus Talia and Ra’s al Ghul.
The video game auction contains Donkey Kong WATA 9.4 A+ sealed for Game Boy, which is the highest graded copy in Wata’s population report. Pack-Attack WATA 9.8 A+ sealed for Sega Genesis features falling block puzzle action with Pac-Man and the ghosts.
