Universal Studios is turning to the spooky side for their annual Halloween Horror Nights event in Hollywood, California and Orlando, Florida. This year, the parks will immerse fans in Blumhouse, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, and much more.

The Blumhouse movies will be showcased in the “Terror Tram: Enter the Blumhouse” tour, which is exclusive to Universal Studios Hollywood. Fans will take a tour of the Universal Studios backlot where they will see characters from popular Blumhouse films including M3gan, The Black Phone, Freaky, The Purge, and Happy Death Day. Attendees who upgrade to the R.I.P. Tour will get themed photo ops and exclusive access to the Jupiter’s Claim set from Nope.

Leatherface is returning to Halloween Horror Nights at both locations for “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Legacy of Leatherface.” The haunted house celebrates the original film’s 50th anniversary and the franchise’s legacy. It will be set in a slaughterhouse where visitors will be chased by different iterations of the chainsaw wielding Leatherface from all nine movies.

The Weeknd, who created a haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights in 2022, is returning for a new collaboration. He has created “The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy,” which is billed as a “one of a kind horror experience with surprises at every turn” accompanied by The Weeknd’s music.

To enter Halloween Horror Nights, visitors must escape the Chainsaw Punkz, get through the gothic royal court of the dead in Skull Lordz, and venture into a Murder of Crowz led by the new mama crow.

“The Purge: Dangerous Waters” is returning to the WaterWorld venue where attendees will fight to survive the night in the dangerous terrain. The new “Monstrous 2: The Nightmares of Latin America” haunted house is filled with Luchadores Monstrousos.

Haunted houses are also themed around A Quiet Place, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the classic “Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines,” and “Insidious: The Further” based on the entire franchise.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood is open from Thursday, September 5 through Sunday, November 3, 2024.
