Warner Bros. Pictures let fans know that tickets are now on sale for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice with a new trailer. Though the trailer is only one minute long, the bio-exorcist’s antics are on full display in the latest promotion.

The trailer begins with Lydia (Winona Ryder) telling her daughter, Astrid (Jenna Ortega), that Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton) had tried to force her to marry him when she was a teenager. Apparently, he hasn’t gotten over that goal. The next shot tracks Beetlejuice – who is once again stuck in the model – as he sings Richard Marx’s “Right Here Waiting” to a frightened full-size Lydia.

The trailer continues with new and previously seen clips, including an undead flash mob, Lydia and Astrid running from sandworms, Beetlejuice pretending to be a therapist, Willem Dafoe as the afterlife detective, and Lydia and Beetlejuice joining forces to save Astrid from the afterlife.

Beetlejuice creator Tim Burton is back to direct the sequel, and Catherine O’Hara also returned to play the eccentric artist Delia Deetz. The script was written by Wednesday series creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, and The Lego Batman Movie writer Seth Grahame-Smith. The movie also stars Monica Bellucci and Justin Theroux.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will premiere in theaters on September 6, 2024.
