Jimi Hendrix Graphic Novel on Sale Soon

The music, style, and impact of rock legend Jimi Hendrix ventures into new space in Jimi Hendrix: Purple Haze. The graphic novel, which Titan Comics describes as a “rock and roll space opera” will be in stores in August 2024.
“This 21st century psychedelic rock ‘n’ roll odyssey sees Jimi Hendrix embark on a quest to the very center of the universe in search of a magical talisman powerful enough to unlock the incredible latent power of his music so that he can share it with a universe starved of the rock ‘n’ roll by a tyrannical intergalactic force hellbent on silencing all music from the universe and enslaving all life,” per the description.
The book is written by Mellow Brown (Blade Runner: Origins) and DJ Ben Ha Meen with art by Tom Mandrake (Batman). It was created in collaboration with the late guitarist and singer’s sister, Janie Hendrix, and is approved by the Experience Hendrix LLC and Authentic Hendrix LLC.
Titan provided a preview of Jimi Hendrix: Purple Haze ahead of its release on August 27. The 128-page graphic novel retails for $29.99.
