Loki’s first appearance, a Frank Cho Vampirella illustration, and a high grade copy of Justice League Heroes: The Flash are among the top highlights in Heritage’s weekly auctions. The Comic Books Select Auction ends on Sunday through Tuesday, February 25-27, 2024, the Video Games Mini-Boss Auction closes Tuesday, February 27, and the Comic Art & Animation Auction concludes on Wednesday, February 28.
The comics auction is led by Journey Into Mystery #85 CGC 3.0, showcasing the debuts of Loki, Asgard, and Heimdall, along with Odin’s first cameo appearance. Wolverine #8 CGC 9.8 features a great John Buscema cover of Wolverine and Hulk, with the former in his “Patch” identity while the latter appears in his “Joe Fixit” persona.
The original art auction offers Frank Cho’s slapstick Vampirella illustration in which she has tripped, causing her to exclaim, “I hate these bloody high heels.” Ron Lim and Sam de la Rosa’s Venom: Lethal Protector #4 splash page 2 shows Eddie Brock being forcibly separated from the Venom symbiote.
In the video game auction, Heritage is selling Justice League Heroes: The Flash WATA 9.6 A+ sealed for Gameboy Advance, which is one of the rare games centered around the Scarlet Speedster, and is the highest Wata-graded copy. They are also selling the hard to find Hello Kitty’s Cube Frenzy WATA 9.6 A+ sealed for PlayStation, which is one of the highest graded copies.
