Ape Army Emerges in Godzilla x Kong Trailer

Godzilla and King Kong have faced some very tough odds – namely each other – but now they will need to join forces to stop a formidable enemy. Warner Bros. released the second trailer for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, teasing a team-up for the ages.

In the next entry into the MonsterVerse, Ilene Andrews has discovered a signal, which Kong has also sensed. A team of humans and Kong travel to the world deep within the Earth where they find an army of giant apes who appear to be readying for war. Despite their aversion to each other, Godzilla and Kong (sporting a robotic arm) work together to stop the impending threat.

Monsterverse stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, and Kaylee Hottle are back for the sequel, joined by franchise newcomers Dan Stevens, Fala Chen, and Rachel House. Godzilla vs. Kong director Adam Wingard returned to helm the new movie.

This is the fifth movie in Legendary’s Monsterverse, which began in 2014 with Godzilla, then King Kong was introduced in 2017’s Kong: Skull Island. Godzilla faced other kaiju in Godzilla: King of the Monsters in 2019, then the two titans faced each other in Godzilla vs. Kong.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire arrives in theaters on March 29, 2024.
