The MoCCA Arts Festival, hosted by the Society of Illustrators, celebrates comic, cartoon, illustration, and animation artists. The event will feature over 500 creators, including industry veterans and newcomers, as well as lectures, panels, and artist signings.
The festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 16-17, 2024, at the Metropolitan Pavilion, located at 125 West 18th Street in New York City. The programming will be held at the nearby SVA Flatiron Gallery, located at 133 West 21st Street.
To announce this year’s festival, the Society sought artist Natalie Andrewson to create the main visual. The colorful and whimsical art will appear on the cover of the Souvenir Journal and on advertising and promotional materials, as well as on merchandise at the Society’s booth. A limited edition riso print can be pre-purchased at the Society’s Museum Shop before the festival, and additional prints will be at the SI booth.
Several notable artists also created art for the show, including Hyesu Lee’s characters on spot illustrations, and John Jay Cabuay’s textures and bright art that will be on badges and promotional items. The artists will appear at the festival; their schedules and locations will be announced at a later date.
Tickets can be purchased online and at the door. The event will be open on Saturday from 11 AM to 7 PM and Sunday from 11 AM to 6 PM.
