Harrison Ford’s final adventure as archaeologist hero Indiana Jones will arrive on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on December 5, 2023. A SteelBook version with a limited edition pin will be exclusively available at Best Buy and Walmart.

Dial of Destiny is the fifth movie in the Indiana Jones film franchise, set 12 years after Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Around the time of the 1969 moon landing, Indy comes out of retirement to help his goddaughter on a worldwide search for the dial of destiny. During their journey, they will come across Jürgen Voller who wants the dial for its power.

This movie marks the final time that Ford would step into the shoes of Henry “Indiana” Jones. He originated the character in 1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark, then returned in ’84 for Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, in ’89 for The Last Crusade, and in 2008 for Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

The physical releases contain multiple special features on the making of the film. The first chapter contains an interview with Ford who reflects on his experiences playing Indy, and a featurette dives into the filmmakers, characters, stunts, locations, and incredible visual effects on the making of the movie’s opening sequence. In the second chapter, director James Mangold walks viewers through recreating Manhattan in 1969 for the Moon Parade chase scene and it spotlights new character Helena (Phoebe Waller-Bridge).

Chapter three explores Morocco, particularly the hotel fight scene and tuk-tuk chase, and introduces Indy’s new ally Teddy (Ethann Isidore). Chapter four showcases Antonio Banderas as Renaldo as he guides the heroes on the underwater treasure hunt, catches up with Ford and Waller-Bridge on location in Sicily, and ventures into the caverns, traps, and bugs at Archimedes’ tomb.

Chapter five breaks down the movie’s climax, including interviews with Ford, Mangold, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, producer Frank Marshall, composer John Williams, and executive producer Steven Spielberg. Lastly, there’s a score-only version of the movie in which viewers can listen to Williams’ music on an isolated track while watching the movie.
