Frank Miller Presents; $3.99

All along the way, Frank Miller’s Pandora has been the series from new publisher Frank Miller Presents that has surprised me the most. That’s simply because I didn’t know what to expect from Frank Miller doing a YA fantasy story (whereas with Miller’s Ronin Book II and Dan DiDio’s Ancient Enemies, I definitely did have expectations).

After six issues, though, I need to stop being surprised.

It’s not only compelling, it’s very good. Emma Kubert’s art and colors are perfectly suited for the tale, and the script from Miller, Anthony Maranville, and Chris Silvestri fits it like a glove.

Even though this is the conclusion to the first chapter of the larger story, it’s remarkably accessible. If you haven’t checked it out yet, this issue might be a great place to start.

And the variant cover by Andy Kubert is a nice touch.
