In July 2023, the Certified Collectibles Group will combine CGC Trading Cards and CSG into CGC Cards. They will grade nearly all trading card games, sports cards, and non-sports cards, and offer collector upgrades that include non-member submissions, a Gem Mint 10 grade, and a new label that blends with the cards.

“The card market needs strong competition because competition makes us better, and that’s good for collectors and dealers,” CCG’s CEO Steven R. Eichenbaum said. “CGC Cards will win by providing best in class grading services with fast turnaround times, affordable prices and strong prices realized.”

CGC Cards is backed by the CGC brand, which was established in 2000 and is a leader in pop culture collectibles grading. Collectively CCG companies have graded over 75 million collectibles since 1987, according to CGC. This has included everything from cards, comics, and concert posters to coins, paper money, and stamps.
