Scar followed the vultures to the Elephant Graveyard where the hyenas have gathered. Starving and desperate, their Queen Zuhour chooses one of their own for dinner. Witnessing their desperation, Scar steps in to propose an alliance with the bone eaters, in the hopes of turning Pride Rock into his kingdom and them into his army.
Chuck Brown is writing a very entertaining comic in Disney Villains Scar. The story is well thought out and plausibly fills in the gaps of what viewers did not see in The Lion King. It has his flair of superiority, his intelligence, and viciousness, but is still kid-friendly for younger readers. Add in Trevor Fraley’s cartoony art and Chiara Di Francia’s bright colors, and it makes for a fun all-ages read.
