Film Schedule Shakeups: Disney, Marvel, Star Wars

Disney and its properties have made multiple changes to their film release schedule and added a few new titles. The new changes affect upcoming Marvel, Star Wars, and Disney movies. Scheduling changes are due in part to the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike, and some of the films are also building more time in the schedule for post-production special effects work.
The Marvel changes start with Deadpool 3, which is moving up from November 8, 2024 to May 3, 2024. Captain America: Brave New World is pushing back from May 3, 2024 to July 26, 2024. That moves Thunderbolts to December 20, 2024, Blade to February 14, 2025, and Fantastic Four to May 2, 2025. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is moving back a year from May 2, 2025 to May 1, 2026, then Avengers: Secret Wars is going from a May 1, 2026 date to May 7, 2027.
Three Star Wars movies have been added to the schedule with the first pushing back from December 19, 2025 to May 22, 2026. The second will premiere later that year on December 18, 2026 and the third Star Wars film is set for December 17, 2027. Those three movies are currently untitled, however, one will see Rey’s return as she tries to revive the Jedi Order with a new Jedi academy, one is about the first Jedi to wield the Force, and the other is set in the New Republic era (which rumored to tie-in to The Mandalorian and Ahsoka).
Avatar 3 has moved to December 19, 2025, Avatar 4 will be out on December 21, 2029, and Avatar 5 will be out December 19, 2031.
The live-action Moana has been given a release date of June 27, 2025.
