Over the past few years, Jimmy Palmiotti has maintained a number of high-profile projects for legacy publishers – particularly Harley Quinn at DC – but he’s also successfully crowdfunded an impressive string of original graphic novels in which he’s been willing to embrace a wide variety of stories in a similarly wide variety of genres.

For Rage, Palmiotti teamed up with artist Scott Hampton for a 68-page, painted graphic novel that tells the story of Braden Radovick, who starts out on a cross-country quest to find his daughter after a completely unexpected worldwide catastrophe strikes. Memories of a truly rough past haunt him, simultaneously driving him forward and making him doubt himself.

Palmiotti and Hampton capture an impressive mix of focus, isolation, danger, regret, and hope in this story.

It has great characters, pacing, and art, and was very nicely printed. It was offered with covers by Hampton, Bill Sienkiewicz, and Amanda Conner.
