There is nothing I enjoy more than diving into a new adventure with my boys Finn and Jake. This Wednesday is no exception, especially when it’s the start of a brand new story arc. All Princess Bubblegum wanted to do was pamper herself with a much-needed spa day. However, the arrival of adventurer and cartographer Stanley Nougat changes everything. Nougat brings with him a treasure chest with all the makings for an epic hot air balloon scavenger hunt. Naturally Bubblegum invites Finn, Jake, Marceline, and LSP to take part in this race.
With a mysterious prize on the line, each competitor meets up to begin the race around Ooo. Bubblegum, Marceline, and LSP make up the first team, while Finn, Jake, and Nougat make up the second. Tensions are high and so are Finn’s suspicions that this ballon race is leading them all into a trap. When both teams arrive at the first stop, it’s an all-out war to collect the piece first. But what they find waiting for them completely changes the game.
Ladycastle’s Delilah S. Dawson has created a hilarious new adventure that perfectly captures the voices and themes of Adventure Time. Meanwhile the art by Ian McGinty brings the entire story to life.
