The latest tie-in to Marvel’s AXIS storyline focuses entirely on one of their classic villains: The Hobgoblin. Even better is that it’s the one and only original Hobgoblin, Roderick Kingsley. This story takes a look at what Kingsley has been up to, and, more importantly, how he’s turned himself from supervillain to costumed hero.

The writing by Kevin Shinick (who has also worked on Robot Chicken and other Marvel titles) is clever and funny throughout and gives Hobgoblin the appropriate vibe. Daredevil artist Javier Rodriguez illustrated the book wonderfully. Just in time for Halloween, Axis: Hobgoblin is definitely worth picking up.
