Baltimore Con Makes Early Guest Announcements
Baltimore Comic-Con is several months away, and they are already revealing some of the guests who will appear at the show on October 17-19, 2025. This round of guests includes Russ Braun, Jeff Dekal, Trish Forstner, Kevin Maguire, Afua Richardson, and Joe Staton.
Braun has been drawing comics for 30 years with work in Batman, Swamp Thing, Son of Satan, and Where Monsters Dwell. He is best known for working with Garth Ennis on their creator-owned Jimmy’s Bastards, The Night Witches, Sixpack, Dogwelder, and The Boys.
Dekal has drawn album covers for indie musicians, illustrated editorial newspaper articles, and he has spent over a decade as a comic cover artist. He has worked with DC, Marvel, Image, BOOM!, AWA, and many independent publishers.
Forstner is known for the art she provided for Stray Dogs and My Little Pony, as well as variant covers for many independent titles. Recently, she did work for Image on Feral, and at Dynamite on their Disney comics like Darkwing Duck and Zootopia.
Maguire is a busy artist whose work can be seen at DC on Justice League International, Man of Steel, Batman Confidential, Doom Patrol, and World’s Finest. His work at Marvel includes Adventures of Captain America, Defenders, and more.
Richardson is known for her work on Marvel’s Black Panther: World of Wakanda, along with work on The Wild Storm, Attack on Titan, X-Men ’92, Captain Marvel, and All-Star Batman. She is also a musician, voice actor, activist, and recipient of the Nina Simone award.
Staton started drawing comics in 1971, co-creating E-Man and Michael Mauser at Charlton Comics. His credits include Action Comics, The Legion, Classics Illustrated, Batman, and Green Lantern, for which he co-created Kilowog and designed Guy Gardner’s bad boy look. He penciled over 100 issues of the Scooby Doo comic, he illustrated the graphic novels Anthem for NAL and Ronald Reagan, and has been a longtime artist on the Dick Tracy newspaper strip.
“We present an amazingly diverse group of creators every year, and this year is no different,” Baltimore Comic-Con show promoter Marc Nathan said. “From stunning cover artists to comic strips and funny comics, properties that have been adapted to the screen and indie darlings, we’ve got something for every comics fan! Don’t miss our 2025 event – it’s going to be great!”
