Bettie Page has been working on a photo shoot that has her both bored and frustrated. That’s when her agent Ben Du’Met arrives to inform her that she’s been cast in the next film by director Eugenio Vitelloni that is being shot in Rome! But, something seems off about the whole situation and only Bettie’s secretary Karen Beauregard seems to notice.

The new Bettie Page series by Mirka Andolfo and Luca Blengino opens with an odd scenario. It’s the whirlwind life of modeling and acting, which Bettie embraces with comical abandon, because obviously this filming situation is shady. The amusing aspects – like Bettie walking on a bridge over a pool of crocodiles and being assured it’s safe – are interspersed with the sense of foreboding that someone may want to harm the popular model.
