Bob Clampett Collection in Van Eaton Galleries Auction

Bob Clampett was an animator, producer, director, and puppeteer who made significant contributions to the Looney Tunes series at Warner Bros. He spent 15 years working on Looney Tunes, designing well known characters like Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, and Tweety, and directed 84 cartoons, including The Great Piggy Bank Robbery. Clampett also created the puppet show, Time for Beany, and worked for Disney and Dr. Suess.

Some of his work is being auctioned this weekend on March 22-23, 2025 at Van Eaton Galleries in Los Angeles. The Bob Clampett Collection includes memorabilia from his work at Warner Bros., Disney, and Dr. Seuss. There are items from Time for Beany and the follow-up, Beany and Cecil, including prototypes.

Rare photographs are in the auction, such as candid photos of Walt Disney, photos from his honeymoon, and some have inscriptions on the reverse side. More pop culture memorabilia includes a Gertie the Dinosaur production drawing, Disney icon Carl Stalling’s personal scrapbook, and a Charlie McCarthy stop-motion armature.

Bidding is live in-person, online, by phone, and absentee. Van Eaton Galleries is located at 12160 Ventura Boulevard, Studio City, California.
