
Bob McLeod, Five Others Added to Baltimore Comic-Con
Baltimore Comic-Con is building a large, impressive guest list for the next show on October 17-19, 2025, at the Baltimore Convention Center. The latest additions are Amy Chu, Steve Conley, Bob McLeod, Andrew Pepoy, Tom Raney, and Keith Williams.
As a comics and animation writer, Chu has written for Wonder Woman, Poison Ivy, Deadpool, Ant-Man, and Iron Man. She is known for her run on Red Sonja and as the first woman to write the KISS and Green Hornet series. Her work for children includes Sea Sirens and Sky Island and Ana & the Cosmic Race. Chu’s recent work includes the Netflix anime series DOTA: Dragon’s Blood, Rick & Morty, and Archie.
Conley is the writer and artist of the webcomic The Middle Age. He has provided art and covers for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Adventure Time, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Trek: Year Four, and Michael Chabon’s Escapist. He is the cohost of the weekly Pencil to Pencil comics livestream.
McLeod is best known for co-creating and illustrating Marvel’s The New Mutants. Throughout his career, he has penciled or inked major titles for Marvel and DC, including Spider-Man, X-Men, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, GI Joe, Star Wars, The Hulk, and Conan. He also wrote and illustrated the Superhero ABC children’s book, edited and wrote articles for Twomorrow’s Rough Stuff magazine, and taught art at the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design.
Pepoy has worked on hundreds of comics, such as The Simpsons, Fables, Batman, The X-Men, Iron Man, Star Wars, Scooby Doo, Betty & Veronica, and Uncle Scrooge. He redesigned Little Orphan Annie and drew the newspaper strip, and wrote and drew Archie’s Katy Keene. He provided art for MAD Magazine, did covers for Doctor Who, Archie vs. Predator II, and Red Sonja, and he created The Adventures of Simone & Ajax.
Raney has contributed to Marvel’s Ultimate Universe, Valiant’s relaunched titles, and Dark Horse’s Star Wars among many others. His art is also seen in Threshold, Incredible Hulk, Titan’s Monster Massacre hardcover collection, and a year-long run on Green Lantern.
Williams was an assistant editor on the Spider-Man group of books, then was a background artist on Alpha Flight, The Hulk, Superman, and Action Comics. He inked Web of Spider-Man, and Marvel books like Silver Surfer, She-Hulk, Warlock, Quasar, Star Trek, and X-Men. His work at Dark Horse included The Mask, Walter, and Star Wars Droids; at DC he worked on Superman and Lobo/Mask graphic novel; and for Valiant he was on Quantum and Woody and X-O Manowar. Williams is also known for The Phantom, The Kolchak Night Stalker Chronicles, Buckaroo Banzai, Lady Death, Max Brooks’ Harlem Hellfighters graphic novel, and Thor the Worthy one-shot.
