Brazil D23 Gets Special Look at Thunderbolts*

The crowd at the Brazil D23 fan event was treated to a special look at the MCU’s next team-up movie, Thunderbolts*. David Harbour, who stars in the movie as Red Guardian, attended the event to discuss the movie about a group of antiheroes and former villains who team up to go on missions for the government.

The new footage gives an extended look at some of the previously seen moments. It starts with a car chase scene when Red Guardian, Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), John Walker (Wyatt Russell), and Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) try to outrun a convoy. That’s when Bucky shows up and the car full of misfits can’t help but admire his coolness.

Then the group, including Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), meets with Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) who is brazen enough to call them “adorable.” The trailer introduces the team, who get to know each other, insult each other, and have an all-out brawl before Bob (Lewis Pullman) wanders into the scene. The three-minute and 40-second special look ends with several action shots while Red Guardian tries to get the team on board with the name Thunderbolts.

Thunderbolts* is directed by Jack Schreier (who is also directing Star Wars: Skeleton Crew), with executive producers Louis D’Esposito, Brian Chapek, Jason Tamez, and Scarlett Johansson. The movie will be in theaters on May 2, 2025.
