Marvel; March 1978
Cover by Ron Wilson and Joe Sinnott

Title: “Game Point!”
Synopsis:
When a setup causes the Thing to go on a rampage, attorney Matt Murdock, a/k/a Daredevil comes to his aid.

Writer: Marv Wolfman
Penciler: Ron Wilson
Inker:
Pablo Marcos

Review: This first installment of a multi-part tale is unusually slow for Marvel Two-in-One. With the Thing recovering from a recent breakup of the Fantastic Four (one of many over the years), writer Marv Wolfman seems content to explore the character’s psyche and slowly set up the story. While there are some nice character moments, the story stumbles when it moves into legal proceedings; it’s pretty obvious the author lacks legal expertise. The art from Two-in-One regular Ron Wilson is a bit more expressive and cartoony than usual. It’s decent, though a bit of an odd fit in places.

Grade: B-

Character quotable: “Somethin’ stingin’ me – like a super-bee!” – The Thing
