Captain America’s former sidekick has had a number of different titles over the years. Now, in the aftermath of Original Sin, he’s taken up the mantle of “The Man on the Wall,” having inherited that role from Nick Fury. This first issue of Bucky Barnes: The Winter Soldier establishes what that role entails and how Bucky will handle it.

The art by Marco Rudy is particularly impressive. It’s got a very unique watercolor aesthetic to it, while also being gritty and unpredictable enough to fit in with the overall atmosphere of the storyline. Fans will look forward to seeing what this fan-favorite antihero will do next and how he will play into the changes happening in the Marvel universe.
