Carol Danvers has had some pretty epic adventures lately and is in need of some serious R&R. But, she’s a superhero and even her downtime is filled with action. This time it’s in the guise of a figure called Nexus and what was supposed to be a fun night with friends.

This issue by Kelly Thompson was a concentrated dose of fun from beginning to end. Captain Marvel and her fellow heroes are given the chance to be their regular person counterparts and opportunities to show off their skills. This standalone issue has some action and suspense and lots of humor. Given how things are going right now, it’s a wonderful break of levity.
