Craniacs, the popular trading card line has a lot coming in 2025. A second card series is set for release, a TV series is in development from Titmouse animation studio, and a new comic is coming to Titan Comics in the fall.

The Craniacs were created by former Topps senior executive Ira Friedman and lead Garbage Pail Kids card artist Joe Simko, and debuted in 2023. The series follows two planets of skull-headed people who are forced to share one home, where they form different societies – the Stone Aged Retrovia and the futuristic Futerra. The line features a base set, plus 1/1 sketch cards, foil cards, numbered variants, and a “golden ticket” card that earned the recipient an original painting from the series.

The Craniacs comic will feature art by Simko and will be written by Sholly Fisch (Batman). Titan teased that the comic will provide action, physical comedy, tournaments, friendship, family, and more.

“We cannot be more jazzed about joining forces with the Titan Comics team and collaborating on Craniacs,” Friedman and Simko said. “Our popular trading cards have set the stage for Titan to build upon the foundation of a unique and highly imaginative universe. We can’t wait to see the characters and storyline expand in exciting new directions. And, with Titan at the helm, we know that fans are in for a wild and wonderful ride.”
