Alex Toth was known in the worlds of both comics and animation. Beginning his career at the young age of 15, during a time when many creators had gone off to war, on Heroic Comics from Famous Funnies. Throughout the mid-1940s and early 1950s, Toth worked for such companies as DC, Famous Funnies, Atlas, Marvel and Visual Edition (Standard). His portfolio included work on the Green Lantern, Mystery in Space, Strange Adventures, Unseen and Worlds Finest.

After serving his own term of duty in the US Army, Toth began to work for Hanna-Barbera doing storyboards for Space Ghost, Challenge of the Superfriends, Fantastic Four, Herculoids, Birdman and Jonny Quest. In addition to his work in animation, Toth continued to draw and write comics up until the day he passed away, including the recent Untold Tales of the Marvel Universe: Star Brand.

Alex Toth inspired a generation of fans and his presence has been felt throughout the industry on a regular basis.
