Zombies & Bone Towers in 28 Years Later Trailer
It’s been 28 years since the world descended into the zombie apocalypse. Survivors have been through a lot in that time, and the latest trailer for 28 Years Later asks the question, “How much time do we have left?”
An eerie scene opens the trailer as a group outfitted with protective gear are attacked in the dark. It moves on to show a community living safely on an island with only one way back to the mainland. One man (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and a boy (Alfie Williams) leave the safety of the island for reasons that aren’t revealed, and see the chaos and carnage happening outside of their safe walls.
Like the first trailer, this one shows the horrors of modern life without getting into the movie’s storyline. There are zombies running through fields, people who appear to be security personnel, a creepy area with pillars made of bones, and a woman trying to keep a baby safe. Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) warns that “there are many kinds of death. Some are better than others.” Also like the first trailer, Rudyard Kipling’s poem “Boots” is recited throughout the trailer.
28 Years Later is the first movie in a new trilogy with 28 Days Later director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland behind the project. The second movie, 28 Years Later II: The Bone Temple, was shot back to back with the new movie and is directed by Nia DaCosta.
The movie also stars Jack O’Connell, Jodie Comer, Emma Laird, Erin Kellyman, and Edvin Ryding.
It will premiere in theaters on June 20, 2025.
