Grab the chimichangas, because it’s time to celebrate. Deadpool & Wolverine has crossed the $1 billion mark at the global box office – and it only took three weeks.

The movie made another $54 million in its third week in theaters, pushing Deadpool & Wolverine to $1 billion at the global box office. The movie’s current domestic total is $494 million, and its international number is up to $535 million.

The movie achieved $1 billion in 18 days, tying with The Fate of the Furious for the eighth fastest movie to surpass the 10-figure mark. It beat Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Barbie, both of which hit $1 billion in 19 days.

Deadpool & Wolverine is the second movie of 2024 to reach $1 billion, following Inside Out 2, which totaled $1.55 billion. The movie will soon become the highest grossing R-rated movie, surpassing Joker’s $1.07 billion. It is the 11th MCU movie to reach $1 billion and 31st film under Disney.

Starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, Deadpool & Wolverine follows the titular antiheroes on their mission to save Deadpool’s world and change Wolverine’s for the better. The pair are hindered by villains like Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin) and Pyro (Aaron Stanford), and helped by Marvel heroes including Blade (Wesley Snipes), Elektra (Jennifer Garner), Gambit (Channing Tatum), and X-23 (Dafne Keen).

Directed by Shawn Levy, Deadpool & Wolverine featured Deadpool franchise stars Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Lewis Tan, Shioli Kutsuna, Stefan Kapicic, and Rob Delaney.
