Dick Van Dyke Stars in Coldplay Music Video
Dick Van Dyke is a beloved actor and comedian who has entertained and charmed audiences for more than 60 years. Now he’s starring and dancing in a new music video for Coldplay’s song “All My Love.”
The seven-minute music video chronicles Van Dyke’s life as an entertainer, showcasing moments from The Dick Van Dyke Show, Mary Poppins, and more. Co-directed by Spike Jonze and Mary Wigmore, the video was filmed outside of Van Dyke’s home in Malibu, California.
It begins with Coldplay singer Chris Martin sitting at a piano outside of the house, where he is met by Van Dyke and members of his family. The video shows photos and footage from Van Dyke’s life, along with featuring awards and personal items. During the video Van Dyke, who turns 99 years old on December 13, 2024, dances with his wife, Arlene Silver, and is joined by family, then eventually sings with Martin at the piano.
“I’m acutely aware that I’m, you know, could go any day now. But, I don’t know why it doesn’t concern me. I’m not afraid of it. I have that feeling, totally against anything intellectual, that I’m going to be alright,” Van Dyke said during an interview portion of the video.
