Doctor Who Drops First Full Length Season 2 Trailer
The Doctor is about to face new monsters, an intergalactic singing contest, and a cartoon character who climbs out of the screen in the new season of Doctor Who. BBC and Disney+ released the first full length trailer for the rebranded second season of Doctor Who starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor.
The trailer begins by introducing new companion Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu) who cleverly tells the Doctor to call her “the Nurse” after he introduces himself. The Doctor tells Belinda that they are already connected, which is proven by a shot of her as a soldier in another time period.
As the pair attempt to get back to Earth, they have exciting adventures – like watching the Interstellar Song Contest – and they face threats like the cartoon character Mr. Ring-a-Ding (voiced by Alan Cumming).
This season will feature the returns of Millie Gibson as companion Ruby Sunday, Jemma Redgrave as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, and Anita Dobson as Mrs. Flood. Guest stars will include Rose Ayling-Ellis, Christopher Chung, Michelle Greenidge, Jonah Hauer-King, Ruth Madeley, and Susan Twist.
Doctor Who will debut on BBC and Disney+ on Saturday, April 12, 2025. It will run an eight-episode season with new episodes arriving on Disney+ and BBC on a weekly basis.
