Double Cover Auction at Gary Dolgoff Comics Ends March 21
Gary Dolgoff Comics’ large raw double cover comic auction on eBay is closing on Friday, March 21, 2025.
A comic designated as a “double cover” book is a manufacturing error in which the comic was incorrectly put together with two or more covers. The entire group that is being offered in this auction comes from Dolgoff’s personal collection.
This auction is filled with over 200 different double cover comics, all of which are ungraded and unpressed. The books cover everything from the Golden to Modern Ages, with superhero books to funny animal titles, and more. Grades also vary with comics in Fair to Mint condition.
Dolgoff bought his first comic collection from artist Frank Brunner in 1969, when he was just 16 years old. He continued to build his inventory, traveling around the country to buy collections, while becoming a serious comics and original art dealer.
In the late 1990s, he moved his operation from Brooklyn to western Massachusetts, and has since grown his inventory to over one million comics. In addition to those books, Gary Dolgoff Comics also has a large inventory of original comic art, comic magazines, vintage toys, trading cards, and other collectibles. More details on the auction are available at gdcomics.com.
