eMoviePoster Sept. & Oct. Auctions See $471K in Sales

eMoviePoster closed three auctions in late September and early October bringing in a total of $471,121 in sales. The auctions contained a mix of signed items, international posters, lobby cards, oversized posters, bulk lots, and more.

The auction that closed on September 26 was filled with 219 signed items, plus US and international posters, lobby cards, and more, for a total of $144,018. Three surprise sales in the auction were a 20th Century Fox 1976 campaign book for $1,700, an Italian Bullitt 1970s rerelease one-panel for $1,305, and a Galloping Ghost lobby card for $1,053.

The September 28 auction contained 950 oversized and standard size movie and non-movie posters, reaching $97,130. Top sales included a Cachou Lajaunie French advertising poster for $2,389, High Plains Drifter one-sheet for $1,260, and Mr. America Miss Americana special poster for $700.

The auction on October 1 featured 1,188 bulk lots containing 35,178 items for a total of $229,973. Some of the surprise sales were a lot of 275 Superman movie 35mm slides for $790, a lot of 98 one-sheets for $703, and a lot of 11 horror, science fiction, and fantasy one-sheets for $632.

Part I and Part II of their 24th Annual Halloween Auction are now live and Part III starts Sunday, October 8. They are now taking consignments for the December Major Auction.
