New York Comic Con attendees may wish that they could slow down or even turn back time to make the convention experience last longer. At this year’s NYCC, they’ll get to see an artifact that can do that – well, it can in the movies.

Doctor Strange’s powerful Eye of Agamotto, featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will be on display at New York Comic Con. The one of a kind piece is composed of a patina brass base with an 18-karat gold front casing and a rare 19-karat African emerald. It is valued at $1.2 million.

The Eye of Agamotto is being shown by Metropolis Comics and Collectibles in collaboration with East Continental Gems, official Marvel licensors. They recently sold it to a group of collectors, who will be represented by Malcolm Edwards.

The Eye will be on display Friday, October 13, 2023, from 12 PM to 4 PM at the Metropolis booth #3535.

In the Marvel canon, the Eye of Agamotto was created by the first Sorcerer Supreme. It holds the Time Stone, one of six Infinity Stones, which grants the ability to manipulate probabilities and time. The villain Thanos goes on a quest to collect all six Infinity Stones to complete the Infinity Gauntlet, the ultimate weapon he will use to exterminate half the population of the known galaxy. (He was just a bit worried about overpopulation.)

“It’s a sight to behold! I am so excited to be partnering with East Continental Gems and Malcolm on this rare opportunity,” Metropolis President Vincent Zurzolo said.

Visitors to NYCC can also preorder East Continental Gems’ new bejeweled Infinity Gauntlets, which can be customized with the buyer’s choice of “infinity stones.” Information is available at info@eastcontinentalgems.com.
