February 2025 Movie & TV Trailers
The winter holidays are behind us, spring will soon be in the air, and some of the highly anticipated movies and TV shows of 2025 are on their way. If you were busy romancing your sweetheart in February and missed some of the big trailers, here are the highlights released last month.
The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie
“Porky Pig and Daffy Duck venture to the big screen as unlikely heroes and Earth’s only hope when their antics at the local bubble gum factory uncover a secret alien mind control plot. Faced with cosmic odds, the two are determined to save their town (and the world!)… that is if they don’t drive each other totally looney in the process,” per the official synopsis. Directed by Pete Browngardt and the creative team behind Looney Tunes Cartoons, this is the first time the iconic characters will star in a completely animated full-length movie. It heads to theaters soon on March 14, 2025.
Thunderbolts*
The latest Thunderbolts* trailer opens with Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) addressing an official committee and delivering the blunt fact that “the Avengers are not coming.” As someone clearly powerful is shown killing people (most likely Void), she asks the suits, “Who will keep America safe?” Next, we see Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) asking Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), John Walker (Wyatt Russell), Red Guardian (David Harbour), and Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) – who are tied up – if they’ll work together to stop the threat. Yelena points out that they’ve all done bad things in their past, so Bucky tells her that they can do something about it now. When things look bleak, Red Guardian delivers a rousing speech to inspire the group – complete with a hope that they’ll end up on a Wheaties box. The movie will be in theaters on May 2, 2025.
Final Destination: Bloodlines
In the first trailer for Final Destination: Bloodlines, the sixth film in the franchise, viewers get a taste of the scary things that could happen in a tattoo and piercing parlor. The teaser trailer begins with the cringy up close view of a woman getting her tongue pierced. Once she leaves, the employee (Richard Harmon) starts locking up for the night and the audience sees all the dangers around him. Not just the plethora of needles, but also the chains hanging from the ceiling and the large bottle of flammable disinfectant. That’s when things go from concerning to downright uncomfortable as death comes for the man. The movie will arrive in theaters on May 16, 2025.
Jurassic World Rebirth
The first trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth introduces Dr. Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey), a medical professional researching ways that dinosaur DNA could produce a medical breakthrough, and Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson), the covert operations expert who is going to keep him safe while he tries to acquire said DNA from live specimens. All the dinosaurs they want to see are located in one place – the original Jurassic Park research facility. Along the way, they’ll add another specialist (Mahershala Ali) to the team who will lead them to the island. While trying to get DNA from the three biggest dinosaurs on the island, the team will face an onslaught of threats from the ground, the air, and the sea. The movie will debut in theaters in July 2025.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps
The Fantastic Four: First Steps trailer opens with Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic (Pedro Pascal) and Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby) introducing someone to their home at the Baxter Building. It gets domestic when Ben Grimm/the Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) works on dinner with their robot H.E.R.B.I.E., then there’s a flashback showing the team on the fateful mission that gave them superpowers. We see Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) use his powers and the Thing (who appears comic-accurate) laments his rocky appearance. As Sue tells Reed that they’ll face whatever threat they face together, the trailer shows the team in action and ends with a shot of the very large head of Galactus towering over the Statue of Liberty. It will fly into theaters on July 25, 2025.
