Gemstone Publishing Launches Overstreet Access

(BALTIMORE, MD) — (July 12, 2022) —Gemstone Publishing, best known as the home of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, was founded by Geppi Family Enterprises Chairman and CEO Steve Geppi as a conduit for his efforts to preserve and promote the history and valuation of the comic book medium. Now, Gemstone Publishing is proud to announce a digital iteration of those effort with Overstreet Access.

Overstreet Access is an online platform that allows collectors to easily catalog, manage and curate their comic book collection while also providing collection valuations based on The Overstreet Price Guide’s proven pricing system. Overstreet Access provides users with robust set of tools including an extensive database of comic book titles, the ability to perform micro-searches, create wish lists, match their wish lists with stock at local comic bookstores to fill gaps, and more.

Overstreet Access serves as the premier collection-management software, allowing users to catalog and manage their comics through developing a series of “Collections,” which function as digital long boxes. One highly anticipated feature is the creation of a “gap list.” Once a collection is established, users can opt to generate a “Gap List” and see which titles are needed to complete story arcs, creator runs, or title sets in their collections. They can then tether their account to a local comic shop to find titles appearing on their Gap List.

In addition to collection management, Overstreet Access provides users with an extensive database of comic book titles and a robust search engine that gives users the capability to perform micro-searches using specific criteria including publisher, title, story arc, characters, creators, and more. Each search result returns detailed information including Overstreet Price Guide valuation, additional variant covers, and number of characters featured in the issue. This feature allows users to quickly and easily locate any titles they want to add to their digital collection or a “Wish List” of titles they hope to track down.

Overstreet Access is releasing during San Diego Comic Con with demos available at the PREVIEWSworld Booth at San Diego Comic Con. The subscription-based service will offer three tiers – Bronze, Silver, and Gold – with each tier allowing users to catalog larger collections and access specialized editorial content.
