Ghostlore began with a tragedy when a car accident killed a mother and son, while the father (Lucas) and daughter (Harmony) survived – and can now see ghosts. As Lucas and Harmony deal with their grief, the father is accosted by a persistent spirit with an urgent need to tell his strange and horrifying story.
In Ghostlore writer Cullen Bunn delivers a comic about grief and family estrangement, with solemn ghosts who just want to be heard. Then he throws in a disturbing ghost story to frighten the already fragile Lucas. To convey the different layers of the comic, artist Leomacs and colorist Jason Wordie depict Lucas and Harmony’s state of mind with isolation while the supernatural aspects hang heavy around them.
