Hake’s Auctions began offering the Jeff Jacob Collection in January 2025, giving collectors the opportunity to bid on many rare and high grade action figures and other toys from beloved series of the 1970s and ‘80s. The second Jeff Jacob auction is now open for bidding, featuring 300 lots of Star Wars toys.

Looming over the auction is the Darth Vader 12-back-A AFA 80 double-telescoping lightsaber figure. This example is a rare early figure featuring a lightsaber that has a second extendable piece, which was only available in the first wave of Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, and Obi-Wan Kenobi figures. According to the AFA Population Report, nine examples have been graded by AFA with only four graded AFA 80, and just one higher.

The Power of the Force Yak Face 92-back AFA 90 from Kenner Canada is another rare piece. This figure is the most desirable of the last 17 vintage Star Wars figures because it was only released in foreign markets. The card is unpunched and it is the first time Hake’s has offered one in this high grade. Per AFA, only eight are graded and this is the highest graded example.

The Jawa 12-back-A AFA 85 vinyl cape variety comes from the first wave of the figure, featuring the vinyl cape which was soon switched to one made of cloth for later releases. The Boba Fett 21-back-C AFA 80 with the “Free! Secret Star Wars Action Figure” offer is a high grade example with only one graded higher, per AFA.

Flying beyond the action figures, Hake’s is offering a Star Wars release Millennium Falcon Spaceship AFA 75. Han Solo’s beloved ship is large enough to accommodate the 3-3/4” action figures. This is a rare factory sealed example, and only the fifth time that Hake’s has had a sealed version of the large toy.

The Empire is also represented in the toy vehicle department with the Darth Vader TIE Fighter AFA 85. Based on the iconic Star Wars ship, it has flashing laser light and space sounds. This is just the third time Hake’s has offered one, and this example is the AFA highest graded copy.

More highlights follow, including The Empire Strikes Back IG-88 12” Series AFA 85, an Early Bird Mail-Away Kit (Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, and R2-D2) AFA 80, and The Power of the Force Yoda (brown snake) 92-back AFA 85. They also have a Star Wars Action Display Stand AFA 80, the Star Wars Villian Set Three-Pack AFA 75, and several Lily Ledy figures.

The Jeff Jacob Collection Part 2 Auction is open for bidding at hakes.com now through Thursday, May 15, 2025.
