Haspiel, Others Added to Baltimore Comic-Con

Baltimore Comic-Con has added Dean Haspiel, Charlie McElvy, and Peter Rostovsky to their guest list of comic creators who will appear at the show on September 8-10, 2023. Once again, the con will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center.
Haspiel is a cartoonist known for creating Billy Dogma, The Red Hook, and Covid Cop, and he illustrated HBO’s Bored to Death. As a writer and artists, he has worked at Marvel, DC/Vertigo, Archie, Image, and Webtoon on titles like The Fox, Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Wildcat, and Godzilla.
McElvy is the creator and head writer of Spider-Squirrel, Trash Panda, and characters in the Xion Universe. He wrote and published The WatchGuard Sourcebook and the follow-up The WatchGuard #0. Also an athlete, he has appeared in Men’s Health magazine and competed on American Ninja Warrior.
Rostovsky is an artist and writer whose work has been shown in museum venues such as PS1/MoMA, The Walker Art Center, MCA Santa Barbara, Artpace, The Blanton Museum of Art, S.M.A.K., and private galleries. His art criticism, under the pen name David Geers, has appeared in numerous magazines. Meanwhile, his comics work has appeared in the Third Rail Quarterly, Unbag, Topic, Devil’s Due’s Talk Bernie To Me!, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the Freshman Force. His debut graphic novel, Damnation Diaries, was published by Uncivilized Books.
