Space Ghost voice actor George Lowe died on Sunday, March 2, 2025, following an unspecified long illness. He was 67 years old.
Lowe voiced Space Ghost, the host of a talk show parody, on Space Ghost Coast to Coast. The animated series originally ran from 1994 to 1999, then it was revived from 2001 to 2004, and more episodes continued through 2012.
Born on November 10, 1957, in Dunedin, Florida, Lowe got his first radio job when he was just 15 years old. He attended the Radio Engineering Institute of Sarasota, then did voiceover work for TBS.
Lowe also voiced Space Ghost for Cartoon Planet, Anime Talk Show, Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters, Perfect Hair Forever, and in other projects.
Outside of Space Ghost, he did voice work for Celebrity Deathmatch, The Grinch video game, The Brak Show, Squidbillies, American Dad!, and Robot Chicken.
For his final role, Lowe voiced Space Ghost one more time for Jellystone in 2024.
