Kevin Smith, the filmmaker behind hits like Clerks and Mallrats is penning a crossover one-shot at Archie Comics. Jay and Silent Bob will invade Riverdale in a mature comic set in the Clerks continuity.

Archie Meets Jay and Silent Bob #1 begins when Archie gets a summer job at the Quick Stop where he’ll work with Randal Graves. Things take a wild turn for Archie and the Riverdale gang when Jay and Silent Bob show up at one of their favorite haunts.

The 48-page comic will follow them through a Pussycats concert, meeting a new love interest, and a musical number. Written by Smith, it will feature art by Archie regulars Fernando Ruiz, Rich Koslowski, Matt Herms, and Jack Morelli.

The special one-shot will feature eight variant covers, including Archie’s first retailer incentive covers by Dan Panosian and Michael Allred.
