Kraven the Hunter Gets Red Band Trailer

Kraven the Hunter is ready for big game, or at least well-armed game. Sony Pictures Entertainment released a red band trailer (so named because it is unsuitable for all audiences) previewing the bloody violence doled out by Kraven (Aaron Taylor-Johnson).

The three-minute trailer shows a young Sergei/Kraven and his brother Dmitri learning lessons of brutality from their father (Russel Crowe). When Kraven is attacked by a lion, their blood mixes and he becomes imbued with animal-like senses and abilities. With the new powers, Kraven starts hunting men, particularly evil ones like his father. The bloody trailer ends by teasing the appearance of the Rhino.

Kraven the Hunter also stars Ariana DeBose as Calypso, Christopher Abbott as the Foreigner, Alessandro Nivola as Aleksei Sytsevich/Rhino, Fred Hechinger as Dmitri, and Levi Miller as young Sergei. The film is directed by J.C. Chandor (A Most Violent Year). It is set for theatrical release on October 6, 2023.
